Move on a weekday. That way you avoid the weekend surcharge (12% in our pricing model).

Declutter first. Above 30 m³, every m³ less saves €35 (excl. VAT).

Plan ahead. Moving within 2 weeks costs 18% extra in our model.

Compare quotes. Ask several moving companies for a quote based on the same inventory.

Pack yourself. That saves the packing service (€295 excl. VAT in our model), but it does take time.

How much does a move cost on average?

According to our pricing model, a move within 30 km costs between €1,300 (studio) and €5,140 (detached house), including 21% VAT and insurance. Distance, volume and extra services determine where you end up within that range. A moving company only gives a fixed price after a quote.

How much does a move cost per m³?

Up to 30 m³ our model uses a fixed base rate of €1,243 excl. VAT (2 movers, 4 to 6 hours). Each m³ above that costs €35 extra. Below 20 m³, €225 is deducted.

Is moving at the weekend more expensive?

Our pricing model adds 12% at weekends. An urgent move (within 2 weeks) costs 18% extra.

How much does an international move cost?

For about 40 m³ of household goods our model calculates: Netherlands → Belgium €2,550 – €3,260; Netherlands → Germany €3,040 – €3,880; Netherlands → United Kingdom €3,230 – €4,130; Netherlands → France €3,630 – €4,630.

Is VAT included in the price?

Yes. The amounts on this page include 21% Dutch VAT. For a move from another country, that country's VAT rate applies.
